Ever wished you could tackle treacherous terrains with the same ease as Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding? Well, Kojima Productions is making that dream a reality! They're partnering with exoskeleton maker Dnsys to release a limited edition, wearable exoskeleton inspired by Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
This isn't just a cool prop; it's a functional piece of tech designed to provide knee support and enhance lower-body strength. The collaboration was initially teased on Kojima Productions’ official X accounts, leaving fans guessing what the mysterious announcement could be. Some speculated about headsets or gaming chairs, but keen-eyed fans noticed the resemblance to Sam's exoskeleton in the game.
The Dnsys Z1 Exoskeleton Pro – Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Limited Edition is designed to help you move through complex environments with greater ease. It promises to enhance your lower-body strength and stability.
As revealed in a recent X post, the exoskeleton is a real product, developed in collaboration with Dnsys, and designed with input from Kojima Productions' art director Yoji Shinkawa. Shinkawa stated that the team put the same care and attention into the exoskeleton's design as if it were for the world of Death Stranding. The exoskeleton is battery-powered and even features lights to indicate the remaining power, just like in the game.
But here's where it gets interesting... According to the Dnsys website, this exoskeleton helps protect your knee joints by redistributing your body weight. The product description even boasts that you'll “instantly feel up to 44 pounds lighter.” Imagine the possibilities!
The Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Limited Edition Exoskeleton will be available globally starting December 2. While the price is yet to be announced, Dnsys is running a creative competition to give away three exoskeletons.
What do you think? Would you consider investing in this exoskeleton for cosplay, hiking, or just for the novelty? Do you think this collaboration blurs the line between gaming and reality in a cool or concerning way? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
