I'm majoring in Health Sciences and this summer I'm working at a hospital as a nursing assistant. I feel well prepared thanks to some of the courses I've taken at school. The one drawback for me was I only had the opportunity to live on campus for one semester. Housing is hard to secure, so I've had to live off campus which I would have ideally delayed until my junior or senior year. The campus is beautiful and I'm very happy. There is always something to do on campus. There is something for everyone to do. Things you wouldn't think existed, actually do! If you're bored its by choice! You see movies about upperclassman being rude and bullies in college but that wasn't the case here. You feel like its home, like you've known people all your life, it's literally family here! Campus and the town are so welcoming, people are fun and friendly, and there’s always something to do. Professors are kind and want to get to know you and help you succeed. I lived in the tower on the women in STEM floor and made some of my best friends. Campus is beautiful and very connected to nature, lots of grass/trees/flowers and two arboretums. I LOVE Vandal football games. The energy is great and it’s an all day event from tailgating to the game to celebrating after. Homecoming week is a big deal, and I’m actually the parade coordinator for this year! There are so many ways to be involved with 100s of clubs and organizations and events, something for everyone. Downtown Moscow is great with lots of cafes, restaurants, the Kenworthy theater, and an awesome Saturday farmer’s market. I always felt safe. I could walk alone on campus and feel fine.
